Joke Dewilde

Joke is an Associate Professor of Multilingualism in Education at the Department of Teacher Education and School Research at the University of Oslo in Norway where she defended her PhD in Educational Sciences. The topic was bilingual migrant teachers’ collaboration with other subject teachers with regard to the schooling of newly arrived students in Norwegian schools. In her later work, she has investigated young people’s multilingual literacy practices and identity construction in and outside of school. Currently, she leads an evaluation project commissioned by Skills Norway about the use of multilingual strategies and resources for adult migrant learners considered to have little formal educational schooling.
